From Sorgono we continue our walk to Nughedu Santa Vittoria.
Although it is nowadays a town of less than 1,000 people, the area is steeped in history from the pre-Nuragic era.
Since Aragonese times until the mid-19th century Nughedu was a fuedal fiefdom.
The town is important for this cammino because it is one of the towns on this route which has a church of St. James. This is a historic church dating back to the 17th century.
Like Sorgono, it is surrounded by forest (the Assai forest) which is full of wildlife in the shadow of Santa Vittoria mountain.
From Nughedu Santa Vittoria the walk continues to Bolotana.
