This week marks a very important milestone or waymark in the recently launched Camino Maltés!
The Maltese Kredenzjal travels for the first time to Sicily with 2 international pilgrims – Liz from Australia and Alan from New Zealand – who recently completed the Maltese segment of the Camino Maltés and continued on the Cammino di San Giacomo in Sicilia.
The Cammino di San Giacomo in Sicilia was first scouted by XirCammini pilgrims in 2021 and – together with Camminu Santu Jacu in Sardegna and the Camino Catalan-Aragones- was added by XirCammini to Malta in 2023 to create the 3,600km long Camino Maltés. The Camino Maltés is one of the longest Caminos di Santiago de Compostela on record.
