I happened upon the Camino Maltes as I was researching Caminos in general. Malta, I thought – yes! It made good sense to me as a starting point and I organized things accordingly.

The path is well marked and I had no difficulty following it. I did get lost once (only once!), but regrouped and carried on the next day. The scenery is at times overwhelmingly beautiful. I liked that the path has been well thought out – a great deal of effort was clearly put into its design. The final approach at Fort San Angelo in Birgu is a well pronounced ramp, up, towards the museum – a fitting end to this part of my journey!

I received support from a mysterious individual – James, who answered my emails quickly and went out of his way to provide me with a passport upon my arrival in Malta. Thank you so much James!
